VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers are truly the heartbeat of Hope Rising. We’re deeply grateful for every person who chooses to serve with us. And yet, the need is still great. Volunteering at Hope Rising isn’t just filling a spot—it’s stepping into a calling that makes a real difference in the lives of families. We offer opportunities for both men and women, and we would love to help you find the place where your gifts can shine.
If you feel God stirring your heart to serve, we would love to partner with you. Your “yes” could change a life.
The following Volunteer Opportunities require spiritual maturity, commitment, and the completion of our volunteer training program:
- Advocate: Minister to women and men of all ages facing the possibility of an unplanned pregnancy. Conduct client intake to determine physical and spiritual needs and to assist in the decision-making process. Provide male and female clients with ongoing support and guidance in parenting.
- Medical Services: Use your professional skills to minister to our clients. This area of ministry requires sonographers, nurses, and physicians who are willing to volunteer their expertise.
- Development: Assist the Development department with database and office duties that include pre-event preparations and planning.
BECOME A PRAYER WARRIOR
- Pray for the overall health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and board members.
- Pray for the faithful staff and volunteers who work at each of our four centers: Kettering, Huber Heights, North Dayton, and Xenia. Praise God for His ongoing protection of these centers.
- Pray that each center would have volunteer coverage for every hour that we are open (and that God would bring excellent volunteers to fill the gaps in our volunteer coverage).
- Pray that our advocates would boldly share the Gospel, and that God would bring our clients through grace by faith to saving knowledge of Him.
- Pray that the Kettering abortion clinic will close, permanently.
- We pray that the name change and new marketing strategies will bring more clients to our centers.

GROUP PROJECTS
“For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
A fundraiser perfect for church congregations, youth groups, vacation Bible schools, senior groups, and K-12 schools, this means of support requires relatively little effort with an abundance of blessings in return. Baby bottles are distributed to your group and participants are asked to fill the bottles with loose change, cash or checks. After a designated time period, your group simply returns the filled bottles, thus the name “boomerang.” For more information and to request bottles, contact Susan at 937-298-9998, ext. 1102
Baby Showers
Hold a baby shower on your own or with your group. The new items collected will be distributed in our Baby Boutiques at each of our Centers. To request a baby shower packet with a list of needed items, contact at 937-250-6548
Diaper Drives
Donate diapers to be distributed at our Centers. Critical needs are sizes 4, 5, and 6 and Pull-Ups. To set up your own Diaper Drive with your church congregation, youth group, business or women’s/men’s group, contact Teresa at 937-250-6548

Hope Rising provides compassionate and professional care to our clients without charge. This is possible through voluntary donations of time, materials, and money from individuals, churches, organizations, and businesses.
We’re grateful for your support of our work. Your generosity allows us to offer life-giving services and resources to women in our community who feel abortion is their only option. Did you know 85% of women who’ve had abortions say they would have chosen life if they’d had just one person to stand by them and offer support? Most women lack the relational and financial support to make parenting feel like an option for them, so they choose abortion out of fear or pressure from others. If one person is willing to stand with them as they navigate their unplanned pregnancy and beyond, they are more likely to choose life. When you donate financially on a monthly or yearly basis, you allow us to provide that support so she never feels alone and knows she has the resources to continue the pregnancy.
