National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

On January 22, 1973 Roe vs Wade legalized abortion in the United States. In 1984, President Ronald Reagan declared January 22 as National Sanctity of Human Life day. Since that time, churches across the country have recognized January as Sanctity of Human Life month. Even though Roe vs Wade was overturned in June of 2022, we continue to set aside the month of January to pause and remember the lives lost to abortion.

Our services are more critical now than ever before.

Since 1982, Hope Rising has partnered with churches and individuals to help those in unplanned pregnancies, and over 15,000 women have chosen life for their unborn babies!  We must continue to be here for women and men in crisis.

Defend the weak and the fatherless – Psalm 82:3-4

A Lifeway Research survey of those who attend church regularly, indicated most people hear a sermon on the sanctity of life less than once a year. The Bible is not silent about life and we must not be either.

Hope Rising provides resources for your church to share this vital message. We offer:

  • a sample pro-life sermon and sermon outline
  • recent statistics on abortion in Ohio
  • a 4-minute video on the Sanctity of Human Life
  • a 3-minute video that shares who Hope Rising is and the free programs and services we offer
  • a trained Hope Rising speaker who will share our mission and services
  • a 5-minute video featuring a post-abortive Christian woman who found forgiveness through our program
  • bulletin inserts/flyers – printed or digital
